I was being somewhat facetious referring to their counterfeit operation as technically ‘legal’ – I think we can probably agree that these systems are at best technically legitimate (the prime deceiver’s speciality) but not lawful in the spirit of the law or in any practical sense. This is a complex topic but I’ll slowly get to it as the Mystery Paper series unfolds. Thanks for commenting and apologies for the delayed response.

Who says so … the definition of LAW – contrary to LEGALESE, to which the author apparently is referencing to – is independent of the opinion about it by the actor who is acting upon it. THE LAW of “gravity” is independent of my opinion about it. So anyone saying that someone who is acting/scheming based on THE LIE – creating an ILLUSION and calling it truth – not matter how sophisticated seems to have difficulties to distinguish between TRUTH AND LIE.
