An individual who works for a government department processes large quantities of forms lodged on behalf of young people who identify as neither male nor female. To appraise these, they are provided various pieces of demographic information – the parents’ educational level, income bracket, occupations and so on.
Over the course of dealing with hundreds of these applications, they have observed some clear trends in the family makeup of these individuals:
One: The parents of children who have ‘decided’ to have no gender, are predominately (70%+) academics or medical professionals.
Two: If a teen wears a nose ring, it’s a safe bet that the father doesn’t live at home.
